Responsibilities
- Build, design, adapt, and standardize internal security development frameworks, coding guidelines, and architectural baselines.
- Define secure control guardrails and code abstraction layers for deploying network controls.
- Develop robust scripts, modular automation blocks, and custom APIs to scale connectivity safeguards.
- Guide software engineering lifecycle implementations, including tested and scalable security features delivered through CI/CD.
- Standardize version control, testing, peer review, troubleshooting, and code quality practices.
- Collaborate with Cloud, Infrastructure, Incident Response, platform, and other internal teams to improve network infrastructure reliability and automated health checking.
- Design, deliver, and maintain network protection technologies including Internet Security Stack, DDoS Protection, Site-to-Site Connectivity (VPN), Network Access Control, and Deep Packet Inspection.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience, plus 5+ years of relevant experience in development frameworks, software engineering, or automation engineering within complex infrastructure environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Python for scalable automation and hands-on experience with Terraform.
- Practical experience with GitLab and GitHub, including project launches, versioning policies, runner configuration, and version-control infrastructure migration.
- Strong understanding of network architecture, security protocols, and cybersecurity principles applied to infrastructure.
- Practical experience with JavaScript, Groovy, cloud platforms, containers, and frontend configuration.
- Ability to work independently, establish technical standards, navigate architectural ambiguity, troubleshoot software, review code, and make architectural decisions.
- Effective oral and written English communication skills for collaboration with global engineering groups.
