Responsibilities
- Own software delivery from requirements analysis through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Develop, enhance, integrate, and support ACBS-related applications, batch processes, data flows, APIs, and loan servicing workflows.
- Provide production, DevOps, and infrastructure support; troubleshoot complex application, batch, database, and integration issues and drive root-cause remediation.
- Write maintainable code, perform code reviews, establish coding standards, support architecture reviews, and improve delivery through automation and reusable patterns.
- Use IBM iSeries debugging tools, job logs, SQL analysis, and performance-tuning techniques to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Deliver solutions aligned with cybersecurity, risk, regulatory, control, secure-by-design, vulnerability remediation, and operational readiness requirements.
- Create technical documentation including design documents, runbooks, implementation plans, support procedures, and operational handover materials.
- Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, operations teams, technology partners, and leadership to clarify requirements and communicate technical options.
- Identify opportunities to modernize legacy processes, improve platform capability, increase resiliency, and enhance developer productivity.
- Use authorized AI coding assistance for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs through review, testing, and secure coding practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Expert proficiency in CLP, CLLE, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, free-format RPG, LANSA, and Visual LANSA IDE development.
- Strong hands-on RPG development and CL programming experience.
- Strong LANSA and Visual LANSA IDE experience in application development, troubleshooting, and support.
- Strong SQL proficiency, including writing and optimizing complex queries; DB2 or DB2 for i experience is preferred.
- Advanced debugging and root-cause analysis experience using STRDBG, STRISDB, Service Entry Points, job logs, Visual Explain, and RPG diagnostics.
- Experience with IBM MQ, CDC Replication, InfoSphere CDC, IIDR, or equivalent technologies.
- Experience delivering production-grade solutions across the full SDLC in globally distributed technology teams.
- Ability to design, develop, test, implement, and support application features end to end while improving performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating, validating, and refining generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred experience with files, views, indexes, triggers, stored procedures, performance optimization, capacity planning, financial services, commercial lending, credit products, loan servicing, ACBS ecosystems, CI/CD pipelines, build and release automation, monitoring, deployment, and operational readiness.
