Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions and customer experiences.
- Use Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Identify improvement opportunities, reduce technical debt, refactor systems, and optimize performance.
- Influence long-term technology strategy by evaluating emerging tools and practices.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical communities and professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience is required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies is required.
- A master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes 7+ years coding with more than two listed programming languages, 3+ years with databases, and 3+ years with cloud platforms or related technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with open source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred qualifications include cloud troubleshooting, AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, observability, performance optimization, mentoring, cross-functional engineering leadership, and enforcing coding standards and design patterns.
