Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality, scalable software solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, operations, and other cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Write maintainable code, participate in peer reviews, and uphold engineering standards.
- Support continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to improve deployment frequency and reliability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding and automation tools for activities such as code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, while validating outputs.
- Apply responsible AI practices, including secure handling of inputs and outputs, data sensitivity considerations, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java or Python, or an equivalent language.
- Experience with software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and distributed systems concepts.
- Ability to write and maintain automated unit and integration tests.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for complex technical issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating, validating, and refining generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, secure data handling, and engineering security and resiliency expectations, with the ability to guide peers.
- Preferred: experience in agile or Scrum environments, Docker or Kubernetes, CI/CD and DevOps practices, relational or NoSQL databases, query optimization, and financial-services or regulated-industry technology.
