Responsibilities
- Design and optimize high-performance, low-latency fast-trading systems.
- Work closely with quantitative researchers and developers on holistic systems design and performance improvements.
- Interpret profiling data and hardware performance counters to improve application performance.
Requirements
- Experience with low-level systems programming and optimization.
- Experience building or working on network applications requiring extremely low latency and high throughput.
- Ability to analyze and improve application performance using hardware performance counters and profiling tools.
- Thorough understanding of modern computer architecture, including AMD and Intel x86 cache hierarchies.
- Experience with fast-packet processing in user space and common kernel-bypass implementations is preferred.
- Experience addressing performance challenges in managed-runtime languages such as Java or C# is a plus.
- Familiarity with a typed functional language is a plus.
