Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain core MTS platform capabilities.
- Deliver customer commitments and payment network regulatory mandates.
- Participate in production issue resolution and root cause analysis.
- Support modernization programs including 64-bit migration, ISO 20022, structured address, security, and platform enhancements.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Professional Services, Quality Engineering, and Customer Support.
- Mentor engineers and support knowledge transfer initiatives.
- Improve engineering automation, testing, observability, and software quality.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity and code quality.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- Strong COBOL and enterprise application development experience.
- Experience with large-scale transaction processing platforms and complex production debugging.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, integration patterns, APIs, and database technologies.
- Experience with secure software development practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include payments industry experience with Fedwire, CHIPS, SWIFT, or ISO 20022; experience supporting Tier-1 financial institutions; cloud migration and modernization experience; knowledge of high-availability and mission-critical systems; and experience with AI engineering tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
