Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production systems that distribute compute resources across the company.
- Develop data pipelines, backend services, APIs, and interactive frontends for ML compute capacity management.
- Build telemetry systems, optimization algorithms, policies, and tools to manage demand and improve accelerator-fleet efficiency.
- Create robust queries over large-scale, multi-source data and analyze distributed-system performance.
- Operate highly available services and contribute to capacity planning, cost attribution, and FinOps systems.
- Collaborate in a high-autonomy team through problem solving, performance analysis, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in relevant areas.
- Production proficiency in Python for backend and data-engineering work.
- Experience building data pipelines and querying large-scale, multi-source data using systems such as Trino, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and working with cloud storage technologies.
- Experience with modern web frameworks such as React.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana or equivalent monitoring systems.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and excellent problem-framing and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Preferred experience operating Kubernetes at production scale, including scheduling, resource management, and cluster debugging.
- Preferred familiarity with accelerator utilization patterns across ML training and inference, plus capacity planning, cost attribution, or FinOps systems.
