Base Salary
$126k - $188k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, and maintain enterprise-grade full-stack applications across Java back-end services and React front ends.
- Write code and deliver sprint goals within an Agile software engineering team while contributing to technical standards and the broader engineering community.
- Build microservices, event-driven services, cloud-native applications, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL implementations.
- Use Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for service orchestration.
- Analyze and troubleshoot coding, application performance, design, and production issues, including root-cause analysis and defect resolution.
- Leverage AI tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development efficiency and propose innovative product approaches.
- Develop and automate unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Communicate progress, manage escalations, and identify, assess, track, and mitigate technical risks and bottlenecks.
- Streamline or automate recurring processes across architecture, build, delivery, production operations, and business areas.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software development experience specializing in Java, JavaScript frameworks such as React, Spring Boot, and Oracle.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of modern application architecture, data structures, and object-oriented principles using Java.
- Practical experience using artificial intelligence tools to enhance software development workflows.
- Experience with service-oriented and microservices architectures, event-driven services, cloud-native application development, REST, and GraphQL.
- Ability to design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end components of robust web applications.
- Strong front-end development skills with React or comparable JavaScript frameworks, HTML5, and CSS.
- Experience developing server-side logic and APIs using Java, Python, or similar languages.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, relational databases, and Oracle.
- Experience designing and implementing high-performance RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and build and deployment tools such as Maven, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, and OpenShift.
- Experience with AWS is advantageous.
- Experience working with Agile development methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA.
- Ability to create and automate unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Practical experience with version control tools, including GitHub Enterprise.
