Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute production software deployments, maintenance windows, and emergency releases.
- Share ownership of production deployment operations with the US Platform Engineering team to provide global coverage and operational continuity.
- Develop deployment standards, release readiness processes, rollback procedures, and operational playbooks.
- Serve as a technical escalation point during complex production deployments and critical release activities.
- Design reusable deployment frameworks, standardized workflows, and self-service deployment capabilities.
- Modernize CI/CD using CircleCI and related technologies.
- Automate repetitive operational work and improve deployment frequency, release quality, and engineering efficiency.
- Contribute to post-release reviews and continuous improvements that increase deployment reliability and reduce operational risk.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Build & Release Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or related disciplines.
- Strong experience supporting and automating production software deployments in cloud environments.
- Deep expertise building enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines with CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
- Strong experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience managing artifact repositories such as JFrog Artifactory.
- Experience designing deployment automation, release orchestration, and software delivery workflows.
- Strong understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies, pull request processes, and release management.
- Strong scripting or programming experience using Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration is preferred.
- Experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures is preferred.
- Experience integrating DevSecOps capabilities, improving engineering productivity, and working with DORA metrics is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
