Base Salary
$133k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain deployment infrastructure for Data Engineering workflows.
- Own and operate Chime's core storage technologies, including DynamoDB and RDS.
- Write infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and manage workloads on Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering to translate needs into scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Drive reliability improvements across the platform.
- Participate in the full lifecycle of infrastructure changes.
- Help shape the scaling practices of the Data Infra team.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of software engineering experience focused on infrastructure or backend systems.
- Hands-on production experience with Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with AWS, particularly DynamoDB and RDS.
- Strong programming skills in Python or a similar language.
- A systems-thinking mindset for designing reliable and scalable solutions.
- Ability to work autonomously on ambiguous problems and communicate clearly.
- Experience with data ingestion and ETL pipelines is a strong plus.
