Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage networked computing infrastructure to ensure secure and optimal operations.
  • Design, develop, support, and maintain organizational systems infrastructure, including hardware and software implementation and design.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate system engineering efforts for programs.
  • Develop models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development.
  • Advise management and customers on operations, research studies, technology assessments, schedules, and budgets.
  • Support system design reviews and the software development lifecycle.
  • Verify developed features throughout product development.
  • Provide design improvement input for cyber tools and network hardware or software.
  • Communicate project status, identify and mitigate program risks, and present technical ideas to senior decision makers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, management information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Five years of related work experience.
  • Experience monitoring and managing networked computer infrastructure.
  • Experience developing or improving new and existing products, solutions, and processes.
  • Experience with system-level architectural design of software, hardware, and networked systems.
  • Experience working with government programs and controlled engineering baselines.
  • Intermediate knowledge of cybersecurity, common IT system risks, and enterprise compute, network, and storage architectures.
  • Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies.
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer networking and IT Service Management best practices.
  • Familiarity with cyber range tools for deployment automation, configuration automation, monitoring, and traffic generation.
  • Effective communication and technical risk-management skills.
  • Preferred: experience managing a DoD or Federal cyber network.
  • Preferred: advanced knowledge of IT Service Management best practices.
  • Preferred: knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
  • Preferred: knowledge of network vulnerability and threat analysis tools and processes.
  • U.S. citizenship and a U.S. government Secret security clearance with Top Secret/SCI eligibility are required.
