Base Salary
$213k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and train computer vision and multimodal models for object attributes, scene properties, and interaction dynamics.
- Design and implement a scalable AI agent framework integrating foundation models, perception outputs, and internal knowledge bases.
- Apply fine-tuning and reinforcement learning techniques to continuously improve captioning and reasoning through automated feedback.
- Prototype prompting strategies for vision-language models to support causal reasoning about driving scenarios.
- Build and manage large-scale ML data processing pipelines and integrate the captioning system into the broader ML development lifecycle.
- Own the system lifecycle from model development and prototyping through production deployment and massive-scale data generation.
- Collaborate with ML Infrastructure, Perception, Behavior, and AI Foundation teams.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience training and shipping deep learning models for computer vision tasks.
- At least 1 year of experience working with large language models or vision-language models through fine-tuning, prompting, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
- Proficiency with Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including scalable and reliable system design.
- Experience building and managing large-scale data processing pipelines for ML training.
- Ability to work autonomously and lead complex technical projects in a fast-paced R&D environment.
- Preferred: PhD, publications at top-tier AI conferences, reinforcement learning experience including RLHF or RLAIF, modern self-supervised or weakly supervised perception techniques, AI agent framework experience, multimodal robotics or autonomous-driving perception experience, and impactful cross-functional collaboration.
