Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance Java applications and microservices.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable code and contribute to coding, code reviews, refactoring, and technical design documentation.
- Apply unit testing, TDD, BDD, automated testing, secure coding, vulnerability assessment, and code-quality practices.
- Contribute to continuous integration, continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, continuous monitoring, and progressive delivery.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, cross-functional teams, and DevOps teams on distributed systems, deployments, observability, and production resilience.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions while promoting engineering excellence and continuous learning.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and deep expertise in system design and microservices architecture.
- Working knowledge of C++ is a plus.
- Experience with trunk-based development, feature flags, progressive delivery, TDD, BDD, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with code reviews, vulnerability assessments, secure coding, and cloud-native technologies including AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture, distributed systems, performance tuning, observability, and production monitoring is desirable.
- Proficient English is required; Japanese is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and adaptability in fast-paced agile environments.
