Responsibilities
- Develop and support applications, procedures, and functions.
- Create and monitor batch jobs using a job scheduler.
- Analyze issues, troubleshoot applications, and provide solutions.
- Gather project requirements from stakeholders and recommend appropriate technologies.
- Estimate project timelines and monitor deliverables against scheduled completion dates.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Perform unit testing and work with the Quality Assurance team to ensure quality.
- Maintain existing code and develop new application functionality.
- Monitor application efficiency and identify performance improvements.
- Support end users, manage assignments to completion, and participate in stakeholder and manager meetings.
- Mentor team members and share effective AI-assisted engineering practices.
Requirements
- Experience with SQL Server and developing complex database queries using SQL.
- Working knowledge of a source code management tool and job scheduler.
- Strong business analysis and systems analysis experience, including proposing and developing solutions.
- Comfort maintaining existing code bases while performing new development.
- Strong organization, business acumen, multitasking, and assignment-management skills.
- Expert-level daily use of AI assistants such as Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or equivalent across the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to validate AI-generated output through testing, code review, security checks, and performance analysis.
- Experience applying AI to refactoring, test generation, CI/CD automation, log and trace analysis, incident triage, runbooks, and technical documentation.
- Understanding of safe AI use, including preventing sensitive-data leakage, compliant information handling, intellectual-property awareness, and enterprise guardrails.
