Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable systems for AML case handling and investigation workflows.
- Own technical initiatives end to end, from problem definition and technical design through production delivery and operation.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts to shape decisions and measure impact.
- Build automation and deploy AI capabilities with attention to quality, evaluation, traceability, and human oversight.
- Improve system reliability, security, and technical quality through system design, testing, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building backend, distributed, or data-intensive systems.
- Strong Java skills and experience with Spring, relational databases, and asynchronous messaging.
- Ability to own substantial technical initiatives and lead them from initial idea through reliable production delivery.
- Full-stack mindset and willingness to work across backend services, data, and user-facing tools.
- Product mindset, sound technical judgment, and ability to connect technical work to measurable outcomes.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, operations, and data disciplines.
- Experience deploying machine learning or LLM-based systems, evaluating AI quality and cost, or building operational workflow and case management tools is preferred.
- Prior AML experience is not required.
