Responsibilities
- Design and implement macOS components for Data Loss Prevention and network security products.
- Develop low-level system tools using Endpoint Security, Network Extension, System Extensions, and Apple security frameworks.
- Implement network filtering, packet inspection, and proxy capabilities using Network Extension and App Proxy Provider.
- Debug macOS performance, security, compatibility, daemon lifecycle, IPC, and code-injection issues.
- Maintain compliance with Apple security frameworks, code-signing requirements, and entitlements.
- Monitor macOS updates, API deprecations, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and QA teams to deliver and validate security features.
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, secure development practices, and automated testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years focused on macOS internals.
- Deep knowledge of macOS architecture, kernel programming, system calls, and macOS APIs.
- Proficiency in C, C++, Objective-C, and/or Swift.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, and network security principles.
- Experience with macOS security frameworks, DLP solutions, data monitoring, file access control, or content filtering.
- Experience with system-level debugging tools including lldb, kdebug/ktrace, and Instruments.
- Knowledge of encryption, secure communications, data protection, and complex system-level debugging.
- Preferred qualifications include cross-platform security development, cloud security integration, macOS virtualization, threat detection, malware analysis, intrusion prevention, compliance standards, open-source contributions, and macOS development portfolios.
- Nice-to-have experience includes Python or Bash scripting, Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps practices, reverse engineering, or macOS vulnerability research.
