Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and deployment of complex multi-cloud solutions across GCP and AWS.
- Define platform standards, reusable Terraform modules, cluster blueprints, and golden paths for application deployment.
- Deploy, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments.
- Design, operate, and support production Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, autoscaling, node pools, namespaces, and RBAC.
- Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application delivery.
- Monitor platform health with Datadog and manage metrics, logs, traces, SLOs, alerts, runbooks, and dashboards.
- Own platform reliability, scalability, capacity planning, disaster recovery, incident response, on-call support, and post-incident reviews.
- Drive cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices, including right-sizing and governance.
- Mentor engineers, set technical direction, review designs, and communicate architecture decisions to technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineering; the senior track requires 8+ years with leadership or architect-level responsibilities.
- Deep hands-on expertise with GCP and/or AWS cloud platforms.
- Strong production Kubernetes experience, preferably with GKE.
- Expert Terraform skills, including reusable modules and multi-environment infrastructure as code.
- Proven experience building and supporting CI/CD automation at scale.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud environment issues and collaborate effectively with global and cross-functional teams.
- Preferred qualifications include GitOps and progressive delivery experience, FinOps or cloud cost optimization experience, scripting for automation, Linux system administration, and experience in regulated environments.
- Preferred certifications include Google Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, and Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
