Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services linked to APIs for integrations.
- Build and optimize data models, database queries, and storage strategies.
- Ensure high performance and reliability through profiling, monitoring, and tuning.
- Implement secure-by-design practices including authentication and data protection.
- Design scalable architectures and contribute to system design decisions.
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product, QA, and platform teams.
- Document APIs, services, and operational runbooks for maintainability.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering fundamentals including data structures and algorithms.
- Experience building server-side applications and APIs using REST or event-driven patterns.
- Solid understanding of databases like PostgreSQL and data consistency.
- Practical experience with testing strategies, CI/CD, and version control.
- Ability to design systems for high throughput and large operational tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a language-agnostic mindset.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or others.
