Responsibilities
- Build systems powering Fin’s AI-powered products using the ML Python stack and, when needed, the Rails product stack.
- Bring proof-of-concept code from ML Scientists into robust, scalable production systems.
- Partner with product teams to shape AI-powered customer experiences.
- Contribute to ideation, prototyping, implementation, and testing across the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in hiring, mentoring, and career development for other engineers.
- Raise technical standards for performance, reliability, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience shipping high-quality products.
- Strong software engineering skills and significant demonstrated impact.
- Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language such as Ruby, Python, or JavaScript.
- Strong technical fundamentals, analytical development approach, and willingness to learn ML on the job.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Previous data analytics or statistical experience is a bonus.
