Responsibilities
- Design and develop technical solutions for new features and product enhancements.
- Build scalable, flexible, resilient, secure, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Maintain and support existing Fastmarkets software and help resolve support issues.
- Participate throughout the software development lifecycle with engineers, product developers, business analysts, and product managers.
- Provide technical expertise to major projects and contribute to technical decisions.
- Write clean, readable, testable, and efficient code and maintain engineering standards.
- Design and implement appropriate automated and manual tests, including unit tests and test automation.
- Use AI-assisted development tools as part of the standard engineering workflow.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, team meetings, technical discussions, and documentation.
Requirements
- Deep experience with .NET and C#, ideally .NET 8 or later.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, concurrency, distributed computing, and cloud computing concepts.
- Database experience including SQL Server, CosmosDB, and MongoDB.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Service Fabric, AKS, Blob Storage, and Event Hubs.
- Experience with Angular and TypeScript or comparable modern frontend frameworks.
- Experience building and maintaining service-oriented architectures and APIs.
- Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Azure Service Bus.
- Experience using AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
- Good understanding of unit testing, continuous integration and deployment, and test automation.
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Highly collaborative, technically minded, strategic, results-driven, and comfortable working across teams and geographies.
