Responsibilities
- Develop software maintenance and upgrade solutions for tactical systems.
- Participate in all software development lifecycle activities, process requirements, and reviews.
- Collaborate on a team supporting the U.S. Navy’s Aegis Weapons System.
- Develop and support software using object-oriented design, design patterns, and plugin or software insulation techniques.
- Work with driver-based and automated test environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in software development, maintenance, or support in areas including open/layered architecture, operating environments, model-based tools, information assurance, tools development, safety analysis, real-time system data analysis, problem analysis, or system integration.
- Experience developing software with Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with scaled Agile software development principles and object-oriented design and development.
- Experience working with Linux and UNIX environments and integrated development environments such as Eclipse.
- Familiarity with UML syntax and driver-based or automated test environments.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government secret clearance and required contract authorizations.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Preferred experience includes ClearCase, JIRA, xUnit Framework, JUnit, CPPUnitLite, CMMI Level 5 lifecycle processes and procedures, and assemblers.
