Responsibilities
- Develop software maintenance and upgrade solutions for tactical systems.
- Participate in all activities associated with the software development lifecycle.
- Support process requirements and software reviews as needed.
- Work collaboratively on an Agile software development team.
- Support the continued development and sustainment of the U.S. Navy’s Aegis Weapons System.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, maintenance, or support across the listed open/layered architecture, operating environment, modeling, assurance, analysis, and integration areas.
- Experience developing software with Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with scaled Agile principles, object-oriented design and development, design patterns, software insulation techniques, and plugins.
- Experience working with Linux and UNIX environments.
- Strong skills with integrated development environments such as Eclipse.
- Familiarity with UML syntax and its use.
- Familiarity with driver-based and automated test environments.
- Experience with ClearCase, JIRA, xUnit Framework, JUnit, CPPUnitLite, CMMI Level 5 lifecycle processes, procedures, or assemblers is a plus.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance or other contract-required authorization are required.
