Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend web applications using Java and modern frameworks.
- Design and implement microservices, REST APIs, domain integrations, contracts, DTOs, error handling, versioning, pagination, HTTP codes, and validations.
- Handle transactions, consistency, concurrency, and performance optimization.
- Integrate applications with third-party services and persistence systems.
- Perform unit, integration, and contract testing while ensuring code quality and security practices.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
- Analyze logs, metrics, and traces during incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement definitive corrections.
- Analyze requirements, propose solutions, estimate tasks, and execute development work.
- Anticipate technical problems and propose effective solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Advanced Java experience, including Java 17+, performance, concurrency and threads, interface-oriented design, and design patterns.
- Knowledge of algorithms and common data structures.
- Experience designing solutions with microservices and APIs, including domain integration and technical standards.
- Experience developing and maintaining REST APIs with versioning, pagination, HTTP status codes, contracts, and validations.
- Knowledge of JPA/Hibernate and SQL, including data modeling, joins, basic indexes, query analysis, and stored procedures.
- Knowledge of unit, integration, and contract testing, code review, and security standards.
- Proficiency with Git, branches, pull requests or merge requests, code review, and conflict resolution.
- Ability to analyze requirements, propose solutions, estimate and execute tasks, and share technical knowledge.
- Preferred knowledge of Java Quarkus, JWT, OpenTelemetry, MQ, Kafka, Clean Architecture, design patterns, test-guided refactoring, Kubernetes, deployment configurations, deployments, autoscaling, heap and thread analysis, and latency optimization.
