Responsibilities
- Design and build AI agents and automated workflows for healthcare clinic operations.
- Build web and mobile features for clinicians, patients, families, and internal operations teams.
- Own ambiguous problems from definition and specification through implementation and initial release.
- Design services, data models, and APIs and manage infrastructure as code.
- Deploy, monitor, and respond to incidents for production services.
- Write evaluations for model-facing features and track workflow metrics.
- Handle protected health information using least-privilege access, auditable changes, and no PHI in logs.
- Build and maintain engineering skills, plugins, MCP integrations, and code-review bots for Claude Code and Codex.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building and shipping production software.
- Recent hands-on experience using or building AI harnesses involving tools, MCP servers, skills, hooks, subagents, and evaluations, rather than only model API calls.
- At least one personal project built and published on the web that is live and usable, ideally a SaaS product with working payments.
- Strong full-stack skills in Python and TypeScript across frontend, backend, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience owning products or features end to end and working in a large established codebase.
- Hands-on LLM experience with tool use, agent orchestration, structured outputs, retrieval, and evaluations, such as LangGraph or an agents SDK.
- Daily use of AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, including configuring codebases, parallel task execution, and output review.
- Ability to make UI decisions without a dedicated designer, demonstrate product sense, work independently, and communicate clearly in a distributed team.
- Preferred experience includes healthcare or regulated industries, HIPAA, payer and claims workflows, EHR integrations, HL7/FHIR, durable workflow engines, React Native, production LLM evaluations or safety checks, agent harnesses, MCP servers, coding-agent plugins, open-source work, or internal tools.
