Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and operate scalable services and platform components for People & Work Intelligence.
- Own distributed systems supporting skills intelligence, work intelligence, inferencing, analytics, and Copilot experiences.
- Build AI-powered solutions using LLMs, retrieval systems, agent frameworks, knowledge graphs, and intelligence pipelines.
- Develop signal processing, enrichment, contextual intelligence, recommendations, and enterprise-scale insight generation systems.
- Translate customer and product requirements into scalable technical solutions with cross-functional teams.
- Drive architecture and technical decisions covering APIs, data models, scalability, reliability, security, privacy, and operations.
- Lead modernization, reliability, performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency initiatives.
- Apply observability, testing, deployment automation, monitoring, incident prevention, and service-health practices.
- Participate in design and code reviews and mentor engineers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Own ambiguous engineering problems from initial design through production rollout and improve developer productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production software systems.
- Strong programming experience with C#, Java, Python, or comparable modern programming languages.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, software design, API design, and distributed systems.
- Experience building cloud services, APIs, platform components, data-intensive systems, or enterprise-scale distributed services.
- Experience delivering production systems with scalability, performance, availability, observability, security, privacy, and operational excellence considerations.
- Experience with or strong interest in AI/ML systems, LLM applications, RAG, agent frameworks, retrieval systems, knowledge graphs, or AI/ML platforms.
- Experience with high-volume data processing, signal processing, recommendations, inferencing, analytics, or contextual intelligence systems.
- Experience designing APIs, asynchronous processing systems, data pipelines, caching strategies, or scalable backend architectures.
- Ability to independently own complex projects, make pragmatic technical tradeoffs, solve distributed-system problems, and drive implementation to completion.
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing partner teams through technical expertise, design reviews, code reviews, and clear communication.
- Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
