Responsibilities
- Design and develop containerized microservices and distributed platform components.
- Implement APIs, service interfaces, contracts, reusable abstractions, and reliable service-to-service communication patterns.
- Build event-driven services using RabbitMQ or comparable messaging technologies and asynchronous processing.
- Develop services using relational databases, time-series data stores, caching technologies, and file or object storage.
- Support deployments across Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud, Cognition environments, and Kubernetes-based edge or appliance environments.
- Contribute to installation, configuration, upgrades, lifecycle management, automated testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production readiness.
- Apply secure API design and engineering practices for regulated, restricted-connectivity, and air-gapped deployments.
- Own assigned features and technical problems, participate in architecture and design discussions, conduct code reviews, and investigate new platform technologies.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software-development experience with substantial hands-on development responsibility.
- Strong experience building production-quality backend, full-stack, or platform software.
- Experience with microservice, API-driven, distributed-system, containerized-application, automated-testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience independently designing and delivering moderately complex software components and troubleshooting distributed services.
- Experience with modern frontend and full-stack application development, .NET, C#, RESTful APIs, RabbitMQ or comparable messaging, SQL, relational databases, PostgreSQL or comparable platforms, Redis, and secure API design.
- Experience with automated unit, API, component, and integration testing, observability, structured logging, production troubleshooting, and Git-based development workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience includes industrial IoT, connected-device platforms, edge computing, hybrid-cloud or multi-cloud platforms, air-gapped environments, telemetry or event-processing systems, time-series databases, device and gateway management, and secure software-development lifecycle practices.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by applicable export-control requirements, or have the ability to obtain export authorization.
