Responsibilities
- Lead the Observability strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Design and implement low-latency telemetry pipelines and data stores.
- Build customer-facing experiences like dashboards and alerts for troubleshooting.
- Drive reliability and self-healing across the Observability stack.
- Define standards for metrics and dashboards to enhance visibility.
- Analyze production telemetry to prioritize performance improvements.
- Advise senior leadership on observability trends and technology investments.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate Observability into architectures and features.
- Mentor engineers on observability and distributed systems best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in building and operating distributed systems.
- Proven experience leading Observability platform engineering initiatives.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages like Go, Python, or Rust.
- Deep understanding of distributed observability systems and telemetry pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Prior experience building end-to-end Observability solutions.
