Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable full-stack web applications with Laravel and React or Vue.
- Contribute to architecture decisions involving service design, data modeling, caching, and queue-based processing.
- Design and build RESTful APIs and integrations with internal and third-party systems.
- Develop reusable Laravel packages and frontend components shared across projects.
- Refactor legacy code, optimize queries, and improve application response times.
- Write automated tests, participate in code reviews, and improve CI/CD pipelines.
- Document technical decisions, APIs, and specifications.
- Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering teams to scope and deliver features.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience with modern object-oriented PHP.
- 3+ years of hands-on Laravel experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Laravel ecosystem, including Eloquent, Queues, Jobs, Events, Service Container, Middleware, and Authentication.
- 3+ years of production experience with React or Vue.
- Strong TypeScript and modern JavaScript skills.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs with authentication, validation, and error handling.
- Solid SQL skills with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Redis and queue-based architectures.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as PHPUnit, Pest, Jest, Vitest, or Playwright.
- Comfort with Git-based workflows, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with AI-assisted development environments such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and good written and spoken English.
- Preferred experience with Inertia.js, Livewire, Next.js, Nuxt, Tailwind CSS, Docker, AWS, Forge, Vapor, PHPStan, Larastan, Pint, WebSockets, Reverb, RabbitMQ, message brokers, microservices, event platforms, ticketing systems, Stripe, or PayPal.
