Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design, implementation, security, reliability, and scalability of internal platform solutions.
- Define reference architectures, module catalogs, paved-road templates, and best practices for cloud-native platforms.
- Design and implement platform automation for multi-team and multi-cloud environments.
- Design and manage complex Kubernetes or OpenShift clusters and work with Kubernetes Operators.
- Implement GitOps-based, version-controlled infrastructure workflows using ArgoCD and Flux.
- Build reusable infrastructure components with Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane.
- Harden software supply chains and secure automated deployment pipelines.
- Lead client workshops and architecture discussions.
- Own platform domains across multiple teams and support the broader product organization.
- Coach and mentor engineers and contribute to meetups, conferences, and internal knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience designing and managing complex Kubernetes or OpenShift clusters in enterprise environments.
- Experience with Kubernetes Operators and advanced Kubernetes platform engineering.
- Deep understanding of GitOps principles and experience implementing workflows with ArgoCD or Flux.
- Hands-on experience with multiple infrastructure-as-code frameworks, such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane.
- Expertise in supply-chain hardening and securing automated deployment pipelines.
- Ability to coach and mentor engineers and communicate complex technical topics clearly to engineers and clients.
- Fluent English; German is a plus.
- Multi-cloud experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or hybrid environments is preferred.
- Programming skills in Python, Golang, or Rust are preferred.
- FinOps experience, including cost allocation and optimization, and Karpenter experience are preferred.
- Experience using AI-powered tools, code assistants, or LLM-based workflows is preferred or willingness to adopt them.
