Responsibilities
- Design and develop reusable, high-performance, low-latency components for the fixed-income algorithmic trading platform.
- Collaborate with traders, quants, and product managers to understand requirements and implement functional enhancements.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of core algorithmic components.
- Work with eTrading teams and production support to maintain and enhance live trading systems.
- Apply stringent engineering standards and deliver best-in-class technology solutions.
Requirements
- Require 6–10 years of hands-on coding experience in Core Java, specializing in low-latency, high-throughput distributed applications.
- Require strong knowledge of software development fundamentals, data structures, design patterns, object-oriented programming, and algorithm complexity analysis.
- Require experience with messaging technologies such as Solace and Kafka, and practical experience with Chronicle and/or Aeron.
- Require experience with distributed caching, market data processing applications, trading applications, back-testing frameworks, and historical data storage.
- Require basic proficiency in Linux performance tuning and monitoring, including troubleshooting Java/Linux performance issues.
- Require familiarity with Gradle, Git, TeamCity, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
- A strong academic record and ideally a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or a related technical or quantitative discipline are preferred.
- Require strong communication, teamwork, adaptability, self-motivation, and the ability to deliver in a fast-paced distributed global environment.
