Responsibilities
- Design modular engineering tasks, specifications, acceptance criteria, and repository context for engineers and AI coding agents.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines incorporating AI agents for code generation, testing, code review, quality gates, and human approvals.
- Build AI-first SaaS features using LLM-powered workflows, retrieval over compliance content, tool calling, structured outputs, and agent orchestration.
- Review human- and AI-generated code for quality, security, scalability, and architectural alignment.
- Design evaluation and testing strategies for nondeterministic AI systems and measure and improve agent output.
- Write secure, well-tested software and participate in on-call support for production issues and AI feature degradations.
- Develop domain models, technical documentation, and internal knowledge bases.
- Mentor teammates and help establish effective, responsible use of AI agents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in engineering, data science, computer science, or information systems.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience developing SaaS applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, React, AWS Lambda, and DynamoDB.
- Experience with LLM application patterns including prompt design, embeddings, vector search/RAG, tool or function calling, structured outputs, and agent orchestration.
- Experience delivering software with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Devin, or Codex and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines with automated quality gates.
- Experience designing evaluation and testing strategies for nondeterministic systems.
- Strong fundamentals in system design, API security, automated testing, and multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
- Experience with managed model platforms or provider APIs such as Amazon Bedrock, Anthropic, or OpenAI is preferred.
- Experience shipping and supporting an AI/LLM-powered SaaS feature, building MCP servers or other AI-agent tool integrations, and working with regulated domains is preferred.
- Familiarity with SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA, NIST AI RMF, OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, AI risk governance, and spec-driven development is preferred.
- Clear, precise written communication and experience mentoring or supporting engineering teammates.
