Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of backend systems for health record data.
- Build and support data pipelines for cleaning and structuring health record data.
- Develop and maintain secure APIs and services for health record data access.
- Apply best practices for data privacy and security with sensitive health data.
- Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams for new health insights.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation for maintainable systems.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in building backend systems and APIs in production environments.
- Experience with Java (or similar), relational databases like Postgres, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS.
- Familiarity with data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and validation of data.
- Understanding of API design principles.
- Exposure to healthcare data standards like FHIR or CDA.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver iteratively.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
- Commitment to leveraging AI tools in daily tasks.
