Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale data enrichment initiatives involving pretraining, midtraining, reward modelling, self-supervised labelling, and the Data Enrichment Platform.
  • Build workflows for data enrichment, curation, and hard or rare event mining.
  • Design and train out-of-distribution detection mechanisms for robust driverless operation.
  • Shape architecture and boundaries across model engineering, infrastructure, compute, and data teams.
  • Improve the efficiency of machine learning and operations systems through technical judgment and expertise.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with machine learning systems deployed in the real world.
  • Proficiency in Python and PyTorch, plus strong software engineering practices and experience building reliable ML training and evaluation systems.
  • Experience with ML operations and infrastructure, distributed computing environments, and large-scale inference.
  • Ability to lead a substantial technical area and collaborate across research and engineering teams.
  • Experience with autonomous vehicles or robotics, physical-system deployment, closed-loop validation, rare-event analysis, simulation, fleet data, or heterogeneous real-world data is desirable.
  • Experience with cloud monitoring solutions, dashboards, logging, real-time alerts, transformer-based or multimodal architectures, VLMs, VLAs, C++, CUDA, distributed training, or production ML performance optimization is desirable.
