Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of security engineers while remaining hands-on in pre-sales activities.
- Provide technical pre-sales assistance to customers and partners.
- Develop existing and new accounts in partnership with sales representatives.
- Coach and mentor the sales engineering team.
- Deliver technical product and solution presentations.
- Participate as a speaker in IT security events and trade shows.
- Translate customer business requirements into integrated technical solutions.
- Technically close complex and competitive opportunities using advanced competitive knowledge, technical skills, and credibility.
- Identify revenue-impacting support escalations and coordinate timely, satisfactory resolutions.
- Collaborate proactively with Product Management, business units, Sales, and Marketing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related major.
- 15 years of experience with networking standards and protocols, including Ethernet, routing, UNIX, Network Mgr., and Internet Protocol addressing.
- At least 8 years of pre-sales engineering experience.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and motivational abilities.
- Solid data communications experience and working knowledge of system design.
- Cybersecurity experience involving network, data center, and cloud architectures.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- Check Point experience and certification preferred.
Benefits
- Base wage range of C$175,000–C$215,000, with eligibility for additional annual bonus or sales incentive compensation depending on the role and plan terms.
