Responsibilities
- Understand architecture definitions and conduct investigations and feasibility studies.
- Develop verification strategies and contribute to architecture compliance products.
- Design verification test cases and scenarios in assembly, C, HVL, and higher-level languages using automation techniques.
- Develop architecture compliance tests in C and assembly to validate CPU behavior, architecture features, low-level execution flows, and system-level compliance scenarios.
- Contribute to automation, debugging flows, and reusable compliance test infrastructure across different implementations.
- Communicate effectively in verbal and written form and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- BTech/B.S. or MTech/M.S./PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electronics Engineering.
- 3–6 years of engineering experience; CPU or sophisticated IP verification experience is a plus.
- Experience writing tests for systems and low-level software using C.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills related to architecture compliance, CPU behavior, and low-level software execution.
- Experience using scripting for test generation, execution, and result analysis.
- Good software development skills in firmware-like, bare-metal, or low-level system software environments.
- Strong understanding of basic computer architecture and logical programming using C, C++, and assembly.
- Familiarity with verification processes such as test plan and test case development.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
- Experience with CPU verification, bare-metal validation, architecture compliance testing, or test harness development is advantageous.
- Experience with enterprise or mobile platforms is useful.
