Responsibilities
- Design and deliver a shared platform for automated integration testing of SimCorp One services.
- Establish post-merge quality gates covering contract, API, integration, sanity, and smoke testing.
- Standardize testing capabilities and integration patterns across the ecosystem.
- Drive adoption through templates, reference implementations, recommended practices, and developer-experience artifacts.
- Define strategies for synthetic test data, data masking, production-equivalent snapshots, and test environments.
- Lay the groundwork for performance and load testing, including tooling, service-level agreements, and monitoring.
- Author reference architectures, patterns, playbooks, and documentation through the Architecture Hub.
- Lead the Testing Technical Collaboration Council and exercise architectural decision rights.
- Review testing strategies for systems and services and align with security, compliance, Site Reliability Engineering, and product areas.
- Coach Tech Leads and Engineering teams while focusing primarily on architecture decisions and design.
Requirements
- Experience building integration-testing capabilities for service-based architectures at scale, ideally in business-to-business or software-as-a-service environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Kubernetes Service, and .NET.
- Knowledge of black-box, grey-box, and white-box testing, consumer-driven contract testing, integration layering, pipeline governance, and quality gates.
- Practical experience with synthetic data, data masking, and designing environments for testability.
- Experience optimizing cost of testing and applying shift-left patterns and testing tradeoffs.
- An automation-first track record improving lead time for changes, reducing escaped defects and failure rates, and increasing recovery speed.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to drive consensus across platform, application, Site Reliability Engineering, and product teams.
- Performance, load, resilience, or security-testing integration experience is a plus.
- Exposure to SOC2 or DORA compliance frameworks is beneficial but not required.
- Experience curating recommended practices and developer-experience artifacts is valued.
