Responsibilities
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for ROS2-based microservices and orchestration software across cloud, on-premises, and edge environments.
- Implement Docker container infrastructure and support the platform’s growth toward Kubernetes and service mesh technologies.
- Manage AWS infrastructure, on-premises deployments, and edge device provisioning for autonomous vehicle fleets.
- Develop infrastructure automation, configuration management, internal tooling, and CLI utilities to improve deployment consistency and developer productivity.
- Implement DoD IL4/IL5 security compliance through encryption, access controls, audit logging, and related security frameworks.
- Design observability, monitoring, resilience, and disaster recovery systems for distributed autonomous vehicle orchestration.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on deployment strategies for constrained edge environments and troubleshoot infrastructure during customer demonstrations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure automation.
- Expert-level Docker proficiency and strong knowledge of container orchestration concepts.
- Strong AWS experience, including EC2, ECS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of Linux system administration, networking fundamentals, enterprise and government security practices, monitoring, and observability.
- Strong scripting ability in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include CompTIA Security+ and Network+ certifications, Kubernetes and service mesh experience, DoD compliance knowledge, embedded or edge deployment experience, ROS2 knowledge, tactical networking, zero-trust architecture, secure communications, real-time systems, low-latency networking, and middleware contract or schema versioning experience.
