Responsibilities
- Develop payment features for the Banque ONE and related logistics platforms.
- Design and implement robust, high-performance REST and SOAP APIs.
- Build production-quality services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Integrate 3D Secure, SEPA/IBAN direct debits, PSP APIs, and new payment methods such as Wero.
- Detect and process unpaid payments and contribute to technical architecture decisions.
- Optimize latency and throughput while maintaining 24/7 availability.
- Implement monitoring and observability and handle production incidents.
- Apply unit, integration, and end-to-end testing practices.
- Collaborate with product, business, and technical teams and document solutions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend development experience.
- Significant experience on at least one long-term project involving payment flows and payment methods.
- Experience with high-availability and high-load environments.
- Strong Java and Spring Boot skills at a senior level.
- Experience designing REST/SOAP APIs, implementing observability metrics, and working with relational databases.
- Knowledge of MySQL, Hibernate, JPA, and high-performance distributed systems.
- Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, communicate with business teams, and share technical knowledge.
- Interest in a long-term technical role rather than immediate leadership or management.
