Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise web applications using PHP, Laravel or Symfony, databases, APIs, and modern front-end technologies.
- Develop RESTful APIs, third-party integrations, and microservice-based solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, code reviews, and application performance optimization.
- Create unit, integration, and functional tests and support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Collaborate with product owners, QA engineers, architects, and developers throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
- Identify technical debt, improve development processes, and contribute to technology modernization and engineering excellence initiatives.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, technical workshops, and peer mentoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of commercial software development experience.
- At least 4+ years of hands-on PHP application development experience.
- Commercial experience with PHP 8+, Laravel, and/or Symfony.
- Strong experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and database design principles.
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, SOLID principles, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.
- Experience with Git-based source control, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized application deployments.
- Understanding of web security best practices, including OWASP standards.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum teams, with strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
