Responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into SAP technical solutions, specifications, estimates, and development plans.
- Design, develop, enhance, test, deploy, and support SAP S/4HANA solutions, RICEFW objects, ABAP programs, SAP Fiori applications, SAPUI5 applications, CDS views, OData services, APIs, integrations, and forms.
- Configure and maintain SAP Fiori Launchpad content and develop responsive, accessible applications following SAP Fiori design guidelines.
- Apply SAP enhancement technologies, clean-core principles, upgrade-safe extension approaches, and the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model where appropriate.
- Perform unit testing and support integration testing, user acceptance testing, code reviews, defect resolution, documentation, transports, deployments, cutover, and go-live activities.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents, application errors, interface failures, performance issues, data problems, background-job issues, logs, dumps, and system errors.
- Perform root-cause analysis, implement corrective solutions, and maintain SAP S/4HANA and legacy-system custom developments and support procedures.
- Manage incidents, service requests, and change requests using ServiceNow or a comparable service-management platform in accordance with SLAs.
- Coordinate with functional, infrastructure, security, vendor, and SAP support teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Advanced knowledge of ABAP and object-oriented ABAP, with strong hands-on SAP S/4HANA development experience.
- Experience with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, Fiori elements, CDS views, annotations, OData services, APIs, RICEFW objects, and SAP integrations.
- Knowledge of the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model and SAP enhancement technologies including BAdIs, enhancement points, user exits, BAPIs, and APIs.
- Understanding of SAP Fiori Launchpad configuration, SAP authorization concepts, security practices, transport processes, and change management.
- Experience with debugging, performance analysis, code-quality reviews, technical troubleshooting, SAP production support, and SLA-based work.
- Experience with ServiceNow or a comparable IT service-management tool.
- Experience with Git or other source-control tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform and cloud-based extension approaches is preferred.
- Experience participating in at least one SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation program is preferred.
- SAP development, Fiori, S/4HANA, or BTP certifications are advantageous.
- Strong analytical, documentation, communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
