Responsibilities
- Design and develop solutions for the Germany cards team in alignment with business goals.
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical solution designs.
- Manage implementation jointly with vendors and support testing activities.
- Coordinate production handover and transition to L2 support.
- Ensure solution designs align with the technical platform modernization strategy.
- Act as an L3 subject matter expert and analyze incidents and service requests to drive problem resolution.
- Develop reliable, resilient, maintainable, reusable, and well-architected engineering solutions.
- Participate in industry forums and promote adoption of innovative technologies, tools, and solutions.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience in Java solution design and software development.
- Strong Java and Spring Boot development experience, including design patterns and anti-patterns.
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, and consuming APIs and microservices.
- Experience integrating internal and external web services using SOAP, XML, REST, and JSON.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying solutions on Google Cloud Platform and using Spring Cloud.
- Experience configuring and deploying applications with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience with Git, TeamCity, Maven, and Sonar.
- Knowledge of Agile techniques including User Stories, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pair working, Automated Testing, and Agile Games.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence and experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Experience or knowledge related to cards is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or data evaluation, or comparable professional experience.
- Ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying responsible and ethical judgment to data and AI outputs.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and English-language skills.
