Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on scalable test solutions and quality engineering strategies.
- Implement and improve Aviatrix’s hermetic integration test framework.
- Write maintainable test code and testing tools.
- Develop and maintain integration tests, end-to-end automated tests, and Terraform-based regression infrastructure.
- Maintain testing dashboards covering test results, code coverage, flakiness, and quality metrics.
- Develop and maintain an isolated, reproducible integration playground.
- Support adoption of testing tools through documentation, onboarding, and hands-on enablement.
- Build mocks and simulators for Aviatrix components to support reliable testing without external dependencies.
- Deploy and manage test infrastructure using cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
- Participate in code reviews focused on testability, reliability, and maintainability.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in software development or test engineering, with emphasis on quality engineering and test infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Solid coding skills in Python or Golang.
- Understanding of networking concepts, test frameworks, and cloud technologies.
- Hands-on experience with at least one public cloud provider: AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
- Familiarity with NoSQL and relational databases and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Preferred experience improving test frameworks such as pytest, Go testing, or custom frameworks.
- Preferred experience with internal developer tools, testing dashboards, developer portals, mock services, simulators, Terraform, and observability or monitoring tools.
- Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, and developer-enablement skills.
