Base Salary
$170k - $253k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop synthetic workload queries and datasets for testing DataPelago Accelerator for Spark.
- Build diagnostic and analysis tools for DataPelago, Apache Spark, and deployment-environment logs.
- Participate in product support rotations by addressing or escalating customer issues.
- Conduct end-to-end product validation and help define, review, and execute test plans.
- Analyze validation and customer-issue artifacts to identify configuration tuning, usage recommendations, and product bugs.
- Use automation and AI techniques across product validation and customer support workflows.
- Create bug reports, root-cause analysis documents, configuration guides, and best-practice documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in development, validation, and support of enterprise data-processing software products.
- 2+ years of experience providing direct support to external customers.
- 2+ years of experience supporting Apache Spark pipelines for data engineering and analytics.
- Proficiency running Spark jobs, provisioning Spark resources, configuring and tuning Spark parameters, using Spark History Server and Spark UI, and analyzing Spark event logs and other Spark logs.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and Python.
- Proficiency in testing data products and test automation.
- Understanding of deployment and operations for cloud-based data-processing products and pipelines across SaaS, VM-based, container-based, and serverless environments.
- Experience with GCP, AWS, and their Apache Spark-related offerings is preferred.
- Strong customer engagement and communication skills.
