Responsibilities
- Develop and engineer end-to-end system features from user experience through backend code.
- Design scalable, secure, performant, reliable, and cost-optimized cloud infrastructure using AWS services.
- Define AWS target architectures, account and network structures, identity boundaries, service selections, integration patterns, and disaster-recovery designs.
- Lead AWS solution delivery and migration planning, resource allocation, budget tracking, dependency and risk management, and stakeholder alignment.
- Coordinate architecture, security, and operations teams and lead cross-functional delivery efforts.
- Act as a subject-matter expert, make team decisions, collaborate across multiple teams, and mentor junior and cloud engineering team members.
- Use approved AI assistants for AWS architecture design, infrastructure-as-code authoring, documentation, and test planning, with human validation of generated designs and configurations.
- Architect AWS-hosted LLM services and retrieval-augmented generation with secure data access, least-privilege IAM, network isolation, observability, and human approval gates.
- Evaluate AI response quality, latency, cost, prompt-injection resistance, and sensitive-data handling.
- Drive continuous improvement in team productivity and software quality.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of professional experience is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in AWS Architecture is required.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Proficiency in AWS Architecture and experience designing scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of cloud deployment, monitoring, automation, infrastructure as code, cloud security, and application-workflow integration.
- Ability to optimize cloud performance, cost, and reliability and document architectural trade-offs.
- Knowledge of capital markets and investment management, including securities, trading, portfolio management, investment operations, and related financial-services processes.
- Hands-on experience using approved AI assistants with context-rich prompting, generated-design review, and deployment validation.
- Ability to architect AWS-hosted LLM services, structured outputs, and retrieval-augmented generation with secure data access and operational controls.
- Experience leading AWS solution delivery, migration planning, resource allocation, budget tracking, risk management, stakeholder alignment, and cloud-engineer mentoring.
