Base Salary
$105k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution of middleware patterns and runtimes to standardize interoperability at scale.
- Define versioning, deprecation, API lifecycle, compatibility, and rollout strategies.
- Drive shared observability baselines, resilience patterns, performance optimization, scalability, and service availability improvements.
- Design, implement, debug, test, maintain, and optimize complex software systems and services.
- Provide architecture guidance, code reviews, technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to less experienced engineers.
- Create migration guides, adoption playbooks, design documentation, and process improvements.
- Investigate complex cross-service, customer-reported, API, maintenance, and defect issues and coordinate timely resolutions.
- Manage and coordinate moderately complex tasks, timelines, deliverables, and work across multiple projects.
- Participate in candidate interviews, candidate assessment, and hiring recommendations.
Requirements
- Advanced software engineering knowledge and experience designing scalable software, systems, and services.
- Experience with middleware or runtime evolution, interoperability, API integration, versioning, deprecation, and compatibility strategies.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, logging, resilience, capacity planning, performance profiling, and optimization.
- Experience troubleshooting complex software, cross-service, API, maintenance, and customer issues.
- Knowledge of software architecture, secure coding practices, software development standards, testing, and quality assurance processes.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, coach engineers, collaborate across teams, and manage moderately complex initiatives.
- Ability to develop migration documentation, adoption playbooks, and technical design materials.
