Responsibilities
- Guide and support developer teams in delivering and deploying secure banking solutions.
- Analyze software for security weaknesses and identify, triage, and resolve application security issues.
- Provide secure-coding, security-testing, and security-tool guidance and workshops to developers and QA engineers.
- Perform security code reviews and recommend improvements to development teams.
- Validate that application security requirements have been met.
- Improve application security in the SDLC through tools and processes.
- Collaborate with customer-facing development and operations teams.
- Mentor new team members and act as the security subject-matter expert for the area.
Requirements
- Good understanding of application security and common application security vulnerabilities.
- Good understanding of frontend, backend, and mobile security, with expertise in at least one of these domains.
- Good understanding of DevOps and cloud-native technologies.
- Successful track record identifying, triaging, and resolving application security issues.
- Background in software development and a good understanding of the SDLC.
- Professional-level written and spoken English.
- Preferred experience with OWASP ASVS/M-ASVS and SKF.
- Preferred experience implementing SAST, SCA, IAST, and RASP tools in the SDLC.
- Preferred experience facilitating threat-modeling sessions with development teams.
- Preferred experience performing penetration testing on web and mobile applications.
- Preferred experience training and guiding developers on application security concepts.
- Preferred knowledge of regulations such as GDPR and PCI-DSS.
