Responsibilities

  • Learn the Lending API, including its endpoints, webhooks, and failure modes.
  • Guide partner engineers through sandbox, live deployment, and ongoing integration optimisation.
  • Review partner customer journeys and recommend changes to improve funded-business conversion.
  • Triage live integration issues by tracing logs and code and collaborating with Partner Flow engineers on fixes.
  • Own technical relationships with partner engineers and commercial leads.
  • Pitch new API features with the commercial team and explain their expected business impact.
  • Collect partner feedback and advocate for it in iwoca’s product roadmap.
  • Build monitoring and analyse integration performance data to identify and investigate degradation.
  • Own and improve the public API documentation.

Requirements

  • A degree in a technical or scientific subject such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a similar field.
  • Understanding of and interest in how APIs work, sufficient to follow the logic of a partner integration.
  • Clear, concise communication with technical and non-technical audiences and the ability to manage partner expectations.
  • An analytical approach focused on identifying root causes.
  • Commercial judgement about which problems and partners to prioritise.
  • Comfort using AI tools to investigate and analyse problems.
  • Preferred: experience in a partner-facing or customer-facing technical role.
  • Preferred: experience reading API documentation or debugging an integration, including through a side project.
  • Preferred: basic coding experience.
