Responsibilities
- Learn the Lending API, including its endpoints, webhooks, and failure modes.
- Guide partner engineers through sandbox, live deployment, and ongoing integration optimisation.
- Review partner customer journeys and recommend changes to improve funded-business conversion.
- Triage live integration issues by tracing logs and code and collaborating with Partner Flow engineers on fixes.
- Own technical relationships with partner engineers and commercial leads.
- Pitch new API features with the commercial team and explain their expected business impact.
- Collect partner feedback and advocate for it in iwoca’s product roadmap.
- Build monitoring and analyse integration performance data to identify and investigate degradation.
- Own and improve the public API documentation.
Requirements
- A degree in a technical or scientific subject such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a similar field.
- Understanding of and interest in how APIs work, sufficient to follow the logic of a partner integration.
- Clear, concise communication with technical and non-technical audiences and the ability to manage partner expectations.
- An analytical approach focused on identifying root causes.
- Commercial judgement about which problems and partners to prioritise.
- Comfort using AI tools to investigate and analyse problems.
- Preferred: experience in a partner-facing or customer-facing technical role.
- Preferred: experience reading API documentation or debugging an integration, including through a side project.
- Preferred: basic coding experience.
