Responsibilities
- Embed with enterprise customers to understand communications workflows, AI use cases, and integration challenges.
- Design, build, and deploy custom implementations using Telnyx APIs, AI voice assistants, WebRTC, and related connectivity services.
- Deploy and operate LLM gateways, model-serving stacks, routing strategies, evaluation pipelines, and governance controls in customer environments.
- Instrument production systems with metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, and operational runbooks.
- Lead technical discovery, POCs, pilots, production launches, and customer handoff through a stable go-live.
- Troubleshoot complex integration issues, own customer outcomes, and collaborate with Product and Engineering on roadmap improvements.
Requirements
- A CS degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of building and shipping production software used by real users.
- Proficiency in multiple languages among Python, Node.js/TypeScript, and Go.
- Practical knowledge of production LLM concerns including rate limits, retries, streaming, token accounting, cost attribution, and concurrency failures.
- Experience deploying containerized services on Kubernetes and managing secrets, configuration, and upgrades.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Graylog, or ELK.
- High-concurrency experience with Kafka, message queues, or event streams.
- Experience building APIs, including OpenAPI, REST or GraphQL design, authentication, rate limiting, versioning, and idempotency.
- Exposure to SIP, WebRTC, or real-time voice and messaging systems.
- Customer-facing engineering experience, independent troubleshooting ability, and strong technical judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Korean.
- Based in Seoul or willing to relocate, with comfort working on customer sites and traveling across South Korea and Southeast Asia.
- Legally authorized to work in South Korea or eligible for sponsorship.
- Preferred experience includes AI voice assistants, STT/TTS, LLM evaluation, LLM gateways, open-weight models, inference serving, SQL, ETL, CI/CD automation, telecom or CPaaS, sovereign or on-premises deployments, and security practices such as IAM, encryption, and audit logging.
