Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and review secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient AWS cloud infrastructure and reference architectures.
- Support serverless and container-based workloads using AWS-native services.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and CDK, including reusable modules and templates.
- Develop policy as code with Rego and maintain automated provisioning, configuration, governance, and compliance controls.
- Maintain AWS authentication and authorization models using IAM roles and policies and collaborate on security and compliance reviews.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, traces, metrics, dashboards, and runbooks using CloudWatch and related AWS observability services.
- Optimize AWS workloads for performance, scalability, resilience, operational readiness, backup, recovery, and cost efficiency.
- Enable software engineering teams through cloud onboarding, implementation guidance, architecture decisions, PoC/MVP support, and reusable engineering standards.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to cloud engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience in production environments.
- Mandatory AWS Containers expertise or AWS Serverless expertise, with implementation experience in several listed AWS services and container technologies.
- Experience with event-driven architecture patterns using SNS, SQS, or EventBridge.
- Mandatory scripting knowledge in JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, or Python, or extensive software development experience.
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, Cognito, Service Catalog, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, EventBridge, S3, RDS, and Step Functions.
- Experience with Docker, ECS Fargate, ECR, and EFS is relevant to the container qualification.
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate/Professional are preferred.
- Experience with CloudFormation, CDK, Liquibase, GitHub Actions, reusable workflows, software development, and end-to-end AWS PoC/MVP solutions is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, autonomy, mentoring, and customer-focused enablement skills are required.
