Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated UI, API, integration, functional, regression, and end-to-end tests.
- Write automated test cases in Java using Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, and related frameworks.
- Build and execute API test suites using Rest Assured, Postman, or equivalent tools.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve test coverage and execution reliability.
- Review requirements, identify test scenarios, create test plans, debug failures, investigate root causes, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.
- Work with Software Engineers, Product Managers, DevOps teams, and senior SDETs throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, and engineering discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 1.5–3 years of experience in software development in test or QA automation.
- Solid Java programming skills and understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with Playwright or Selenium WebDriver, API testing, and frameworks such as Rest Assured, Postman, TestNG, or JUnit.
- Exposure to CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Experience using Git for version control and collaborative workflows.
- Good debugging, analytical, communication, attention-to-detail, and ownership skills.
- Preferred: exposure to microservices and API-first development, Docker, AWS, MySQL or PostgreSQL, SQL queries, Kafka or RabbitMQ, and Grafana, Prometheus, or Kibana.
